Make Your Forum Signatures Earn Money no comments
If you’re not hiding under a rock for the past 10 years, then you’re familiar with forums and BB codes, right? Most forum junkies out there are already savvy in personalizing their signatures. They are mostly cleverly-animated gifs and placed in the signature by using the [img][/img] and BBcodes.
Well today I’ll teach you how you can convert these spiffy signatures into money through Paypal!
First, login to your Paypal account and click the “Merchant Services” tab. You will see menu bar with the header “Merchant Tools” on the left side of the page.
Click the item that says “Website Payments Standard“. Now you will be presented with some paypal buttons. These buttons have different functions and the only thing we are interested in right now is the “Donate” button, so click the “Accept Contributions” link under that yellow “Donate” button.
Click the “Get Started” link on the left side.
Fill in the needed details. “Donation Name/Service” is a title for the purpose of this button. If your brain is not working then just enter the word “Donate”. Ignore the optional “Donation number“. For the “Amount” you can enter a fixed amount your donors can place. You can leave this blank if you wish them to donate any amount. Select your preferred currency and location.
Now scroll further down to the section that says “Button Encryption“. Ideally you will choose Yes on this one so that your paypal email is not visible to the public until they click the button. Think of it as a sort of anti-spam measure from the spambots that harvest emails addresses.
For our purposes we have to disable the encryption of the link in order for this to work. So choose “No” for the “Button Encryption“.
Click “Create button now“. You’ll be presented with 2 codes. The first one is a form-based code for pasting into websites. We don’t need that.
What we need is “Link for Emails“. Copy that single line of link in notepad. Now that we have gotten what we need, you can logout of your paypal account now.
Go to http://www.atwebresults.com/paypalbuttons.php and choose the link of the button graphic you want for your signature. For the purposes of this project we’ll choose the biggest one

https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but6.gif
Now login to your forum and edit your signature using this code

That’s it! Go to your posts and check if the signature has that paypal button.
If you don’t like using Paypal’s default buttons you can created the button yourself and use that image instead of Paypal’s.
